USCIS Ombudsman Assistance: Resolving Delays, Restoring Accountability

The USCIS Ombudsman serves as an independent office within the Department of Homeland Security that assists individuals facing delayed, stalled, or improperly handled immigration cases.

At MAS Immigrant Justice Center (MASIJC), we help clients request Ombudsman intervention in cases where applications have been unreasonably delayed, decisions appear inconsistent, or communication with USCIS has broken down. This includes preparing detailed submissions, documenting procedural failures, and formally requesting review to move cases forward.

Our advocacy ensures that cases do not remain lost in the system. Through Ombudsman engagement, MASIJC has helped resolve delays, clarify errors, and restore momentum in cases where individuals and families have waited far too long for answers.
